Fashion for Life is NOT an SL RFL team

Our commitment to you:

1. All monies collected will go to the American Cancer Society after applicable exchange fees have been paid. A small portion of these monies will cover tier for the ACS/RFL sims. The remainder goes to the general fund of the American Cancer Society. No monies will be directed through individual RFL teams. All monies will be gathered in the avatar FashionForLife AmericanCancer for donations for stores and RelayforLife AmericanCancer for donations via vendors and kiosks.

2. We will promote Fashion for Life and your businesses to the best of our ability via this blog, press releases to bloggers and press, and announcements through our in-world group “Fashion for Life 2012.”

3. We will provide an assigned 15 X 20 m store space including an inner shell that you can decorate as you please (to make the inner walls) which can accommodate 150 prims on one of our 10 sims for Fashion for Life. You will be allowed all 150 prims for selling your own items. You will receive a prototype store and its for your reference and prebuilding by February 19, 2012. RFL vendors and store interiors are NOT counted against the prims. (Added February 19, 2012)

4. We will be transparent in all our financial transactions but confidential in our interactions with designers.

5. We will do our best to provide a low lag experience from the server side by limiting the number of scripts we use to vendors, consulting with LL regarding the performance of our sims, regularly restarting the sims in off hours, and monitoring sim performance at all times. We will also promote responsible avatar script use by monitoring sim performance and asking highly-scripted avatars to leave or reduce their script use.

6. We will do our best to provide a low-lag experience from the client side by limiting the number of prims and textures in our builds while maintaining a fun experience for customers, by building in a manner that allows quick rez and camming within reason, and by reducing special effects like glow and alpha clash. We will encourage shoppers to lower their ARC to help with client-side lag.

6. We will respond to your inquiries on a timely basis and to the best of our knowledge. (Email or notecards will be preferred.)

7. We will do our best to adhere to the calendar provided at http://fashionforlifesl.org/designer-information/calendar/.

8. We will provide a scripted, copiable vendor that will send monies directly to RelayforLife AmericanCancer for sales from your donated content. We will provide a separate scripted, copiable vendor for your gatcha items if you choose to participate. We will provide a scripted raffle vendor for use in your own store.

9. We will promote a raffle to encourage attendees to donate to RFL kiosks. See http://www.fashionforlifesl.org/designer-information/raffle-2012/ for more info.

10. We will promote a gatcha area that will allow shoppers to sample our vendors’ great work and allow those who want to spend less an opportunity to participate. See http://www.fashionforlifesl.org/designer-information/designer-gatcha-rules/gatcha for more info.

10. We will try to limit our “spam” to you in emails and announcements while trying to promote Fashion for Life. Your email will NEVER be used beyond Fashion for Life.

11. Added February 19, 2012: All sims are being paid for by Dream Seeker Estates.

This is what we need from you:

1. Your donation of 3000L needs to be paid to FashionforLife AmericanCancer to secure your space in the Fashion for Life fair. This donation is non-refundable regardless of circumstances. You are not considered registered without completion of the registration form and donation. If you are waitlisted, you will be given the option to receive your donation back.

2. We require a donation of 4 items of your own design or 3 items and a gacha set (see more about this below). Items do NOT have to be exclusive or new content. However, content that plays to the theme “It’s Time….” would be marvelous and much appreciated. Please remember that all proceeds go to RFL/ACS and donated items should be of the quality that you would be proud to offer to your customers.

2. Advertising: One 512 X 512 full perm texture from you to be used on your shop sign and advertising and blogging for the Fair. Please send this to FashionforLife AmericanCancer. We will need your texture by February 26, 2012.

3. Set-up: Set up will begin on Sunday, March 4 at noon and must be completed by Thursday, March 10 at 9 am slt. If your space is not filled by that time, we will allow another vendor to take that space. You will not be refunded your donation.

3. Vendors: We ask that you rez 4 separate vendors and load them with your 4 donation items by Friday, March 9 at 9 am slt in your FFL store. We will insist that your FFL vendors be filled and ready in your shop by the build deadline to have your shop considered complete. If your four vendors are not out, packaged and functional by that deadline, we reserve the right to return your items and allow another vendor to take your space.

You do NOT have to put new or exclusive content in those vendors (though such things are always appreciated). The price of the item is at your discretion. You can only use our supplied vendor; since this is NOT an RFL team event, the team vendors will be not be considered valid.

We are allowing you to substitute one item of the four with a gatcha set. See more about gatcha at http://fashionforlifesl.com/gatcha. Raffle donations can not be considered as substitutes.

4. Prims: Please do not exceed 150 prims. Excess prims will be returned. Our supplied single-item vendors, gachas, and hunt vendors do not apply to your prim total.

5. To decrease client-side lag, we ask you keep all textures to 512 X 512 or lower. We request that you do not modify the outside walls of your shop so that we can minimize the number of decorative textures that need to rez on people’s clients. We also request you make all your prims phantom. Please, no floating scripts.

6. To decrease server side lag, no scripted vendors beyond the our provided vendors and hunt vendors will be allowed on the sims. We will allow one simple landmark giver and one group joiner per shop. Items which ‘greet’ people with spammed messages or blue screens will be not be allowed.

7. We will provide you with a blogger list. You are not obligated to contact or provide items to the bloggers, but we encourage you to peruse the list and contact any and all that intrigue you to promote your business and this fair. You are welcome to engage with these bloggers or your own per your own business policies.

8. We ask all content you show be tastefully represented and we reserve the right to ask you to remove or change content based on ACS guidelines, which includes content that exceeds the PG ratings that ACS requires for their organization.

9. We ask you put your vendors on full bright for the best showing of your work.

10. It should go without saying that all content you offer in your store should be of your original work and should not violate the terms of Linden Lab ToS.
